GOOD BEGINNINGS EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM print this page - Los Angeles Conservation Corps - www.lacorps.org
Good Beginnings offers a full-day preschool program for students between the ages of three and five. The program prepares up to 40 students a year both physically and intellectually to enter elementary school. The holistic curriculum includes lessons about the environment, fitness and nutrition, music, computers and art.

The program was created to serve the sons and daughters of participants in LA Conservation Corps’ Young Adult Corps program, but now can serve other community members, too. The whole family benefits from the program, which provides a continuum of crisis and long-term social service support to all members of its students' households, including parent literacy courses, healthcare referrals and counseling services.

For more information, please contact Mary Helen Vasquez at 213-747-6254, ext. 104.
Information for Parents
The program operates year-round, on Mondays through Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Parents are welcome to call the center, or to come visit during regular business hours to receive more detailed information about our program services. Parents are required to volunteer 40 hours annually at the Good Beginnings center, or within the Pico-Union neighborhood where the program operates, as part of our parent involvement program and focus on civic responsibility.
