LA Conservation Corps Rejuvenates Butterfly Population

The Corps’ habitat restoration project on three acres of beach bluffs in Torrance helped revive the El Segundo Blue Butterfly back from the threat of extinction.  Blue Butterflies were found floating around the dune buckwheat brush that SEA Lab youth participants planted in early June 2007.  Read the article featured in the Sunday Edition of the Los Angeles Times from July 8, 2007.
