Join us in reinvesting in a neighborhood that has supported the Corps for many years.

We are moving our administrative and executive staff into the soon to be named John Van de Kamp Center adjacent to the newly renovated Los Angeles State Historic Park.  We will have a stronger presence in an evolving neighborhood, and ensure that the voices of our Corpsmembers continue to be heard.

By investing in upgrades to this cornerstone building and establishing it as our new headquarters, we can:

  • Serve as an anchor in the community.
  • Be more responsive to Corpsmember needs.
  • Improve program delivery and community impact.
  • Lower overhead costs and improve sustainability.
  • Strengthen partnerships with businesses and community organizations.

Renovated offices and meeting areas. Modernized work spaces for collaboration and efficiency. Expanded training spaces for Corpsmembers and staff. A stronger Corps.

If you are interested in making a leadership gift, we have several prominent and meaningful recognition opportunities available. The Corps will gladly work with you to structure a gift plan including multi-year pledge agreements to meet your philanthropic needs.

In addition, we have an exciting opportunity for one or more arts advocates to help us bring the spirit of the neighborhood to life. Working with renowned LA-based creative firm, Branded Arts, we will be involving Corpsmembers in creating an outdoor mural around the building. We want to tell the story of the Corps to the neighborhood and invite them to join us in our mission.

You can make a gift right now to the Cornerstone of the Community Campaign through our website, or you can download this pledge form and contact Erica Blodgett, Development Director, to have a discussion about joining us in building a stronger Corps. Erica can be reached at or 213-362-9000 x261.
