What We Do

LA Conservation Corps unleashes the power of youth to make a positive impact on the community and the environment. Our programs provide mutual benefit for young adults seeking self-sufficiency, a community that needs services, and an environment that needs to be healed.

Case management, supportive services, barrier removal, and transition services, inc. green jobs placement

We help build Los Angeles’ climate resiliency by engaging the Corps in environmental work projects across Los Angeles County

Habitat restoration, greening, parks & recreation development, recycling, cleanup, etc.

Education and exposure for Corpsmembers in climate action and environmental conservation

What We Seek to Achieve

Corpsmembers will:

  • Secure well paid and career track employment through the Corps’ network of bridge employers
  • Enroll in post-secondary education or advanced training, if needed
  • Be skilled and passionate about improving their communities through climate action work
  • Build the skills to become more responsible, accepting of others and confident through their own self-development

Los Angeles will:

Have restored local environments and preserved natural resources for future generations

Ultimate Social Goal

Young people will be self-reliant and have a sense of belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity that they will utilize to improve their life outcomes and improve their communities’ climate resiliency
