Dear Friend of the Corps,
On this final day of 2025, we hope you’re safe, rested, and enjoying time with friends and family. Wishing you a Happy New Year, and we look forward to seeing you in 2026.
We are excited and proud to share a new video that spotlights former Corpsmember Simboa Wright. Now a community leader and former board member of the Corps, Simboa is an inspiration to many across Los Angeles.
After watching this meaningful video, and if you are so inclined to support our programs, we invite you to support our final end-of-year appeal by making a tax-deductible donation to the LA Conservation Corps. Every gift—no matter the size—creates opportunity for young people, restores our environment, and strengthens the communities we serve. We invite you to to make a donation by going to www.lacorps.org or by texting CORPS40 to 41444.

Simboa exemplifies how our program can open doors to meaningful and lasting careers. Joining the Corps after the birth of his son, Simboa signed up to be a Corpsmember as an opportunity to receive a steady income. What began as a practical choice soon revealed itself to be a transformative turning point in his life. Following the Corps, Simboa went on to work for LA Sanitation, and today he serves as Vice President of SEIU Local 721.
We are proud to have played a part in Simboa’s journey and invite you to take a moment to watch our video highlighting his relationship with the Corps.
To continue impacting lives like Simboa’s, please consider making a donation today.
We invite you to make a tax-deductible gift of $25, $100, $1000 (or whatever amount feels right to you). Every gift will directly support the youth in our programs, their career journeys, and the wonderful neighborhoods across Los Angeles.
Feel free to also visit our 40th Anniversary merchandise page, where proceeds support the important work we do daily.
Thank you for supporting our Corpsmembers and investing in their futures! We are grateful to you—our supporters and partners—because our work would not be possible without your time, investment and continued generosity.
